Contact
One address will reach the editorial desk. It is not live yet.
Editorial inbox not yet live. SGF After Dark is in prelaunch review and does not yet have a public contact address. One will be published here before the guide goes live. We would rather show nothing than an address that silently bounces.
The sections below describe how each kind of request will be handled once it is, and what to include so nothing has to be chased.
Editorial contact
For questions about the rankings, the methodology, or anything we have written. Subject line: Editorial.
If you disagree with a placement, tell us which rubric category you think we scored wrongly and why. We will reconsider it against the published criteria. We will not move a venue simply because it was requested — see the editorial policy.
Venue update instructions
Subject line: Correction. The full process, including exactly what to include, is on the corrections page.
The single most useful thing you can do is publish your hours, door policy and cover charge on your own website or social profile. We score Information Quality precisely because unpublished basics cost your customers wasted trips — and once you publish them, we can cite you rather than a third-party listing.
If your venue is not in this guide and you think it should be, send us the venue name, address, official channel and a description of your current programming. We will research and verify it for the next quarterly re-rank.
Media and image permissions
Subject line: Media.
We publish no venue photography we do not have documented rights to, which is why this edition uses typographic editorial cards rather than images. We will not take photographs from image search results, social profiles or another venue’s material.
To supply media, we need, in writing:
- Confirmation that you own the images or hold the rights to license them
- Explicit permission to publish them on SGF After Dark
- Any attribution or photographer credit you require
- Any restriction on use — for example, a date after which the image should be retired
Every asset we publish is recorded in our image rights ledger with its source, licence and attribution requirement.
Correction policy, in short
- Corrections are free and always will be.
- Corrections do not change placement, in either direction.
- We verify before we publish, including information supplied by a venue.
- Material corrections are noted on the profile rather than made silently.
- Closure notices are actioned promptly.
- We do not sell rankings, awards or placement.
How we work, and how editorial is kept separate from commercial, is set out in our editorial standards & ownership policy.
